Drop your GA4 measurement ID into your workspace and Rook Links injects the tracking script for you. Standard events flow into your GA4 property within seconds.

Rook Links has its own analytics, but you can run Google Analytics 4 alongside it for the dashboards your team already uses. The integration is one paste away.

Get your measurement ID

In Google Analytics, open Admin, Property, Data Streams. Tap your web stream. The Measurement ID begins with G, looks like G followed by ten characters. Copy it.

Connect the property

  1. 1

    Open Integrations

Dashboard sidebar, Integrations, Marketing and Analytics.

  2. 2

    Paste the measurement ID

Drop your G measurement ID into the Google Analytics field. Save.

  3. 3

    Verify

Open your public link in a new tab. In Google Analytics, Realtime should show one active user within 30 seconds.

What events flow

  • page_view on every public page load.
  • tile_view when a visitor opens a tile modal.
  • tile_click when a visitor presses the visit link.
  • link_click on social link taps.

Why run GA4 alongside Rook Links analytics

GA4 fits into Looker Studio, BigQuery exports, and Google Ads conversion tracking. If your team already builds dashboards there, the GA4 connection is the cheapest way to make Rook Links data available to them. Rook Links analytics stay focused on what creators need; GA4 covers the rest.

Common pitfalls

  • Pasting the wrong ID. Make sure it starts with G, not UA.
  • Forgetting to enable enhanced measurement in GA4 itself. Some events depend on it.
  • Using ad blockers in your test browser. Realtime will show zero even though the integration is fine.
